BSC RWA Set WRA 501

Set consists of: WRF 501 wind/rain sensor, Solo wall unit for WRF/RS and WR-MOD 501 wind/rain module

The WRA 501 set is a modular addition to the SHEV control panels (BSC). The wind-rain sensor WRF 501 must be mounted on the main weather side in an unprotected place (connect lightning protection earth). Various mounting options can be realized with the special accessories. When rain/snow as well as wind starts to fall, a signal is sent to the wind/rain module WR-MOD 501 (in the SHEV control panel).

Function wind wheel:
The wind sensor of the WRF 501 consists of a wind wheel which, depending on the wind speed, generates a certain switching frequency which triggers a switching operation in the switching device.

Function check wind wheel:
The wind wheel is checked for smooth running.

Rain sensor function:
On the top of the WRF 501's rain sensor is a corrosion-resistant sensor plate connected to an AC voltage of approx. 5 V. The sensor plate is electrical, so the electrodes dry quickly, for example after a rainfall. If rainwater gets onto the sensor plate, a signal is sent to the wind/rain module and a switching operation is triggered.

Rain sensor function check:
If the sensor plate of the rain sensor is touched with a slightly moistened hand, a rain signal is sent to the switching device.
