Chain drives

Chain drive

Chain drives push a back-stiff chain out of the housing at a 90° angle. Back stiff means that the chain can only bend in one direction. For this reason, chain drives on windows or skylights can exert a lot of force when extending. The common belief that chain drives can only pull is therefore wrong. The design ensures that these drives do not obtrusively dominate the window, but lie flat on the frame and integrate unobtrusively into the overall view. We have buying guides for a few standard applications. For Standard turn/tilt windows, tilt windows opening further than 150mm, for Side-hung windows or for Roof windows.
