The SHEV® compact control panel is the heart of the SIMON PROtec SHEV system for stairwells. This is a compact unit designed in accordance with DIN EN 12101 Part 9 and Part 10.
The control unit contains a primary and secondary power supply as well as the entire control and regulation technology for operating 24 volt DC drives for building openings. The compact control unit controls the drives in the event of fire and for daily ventilation. Special ventilation functions (gap ventilation, dead man function, automatic ventilation) are freely and individually programmable for the user. The ventilation function is at the same time a daily function control of the SHEV system. Manual or automatic triggering of the smoke and heat ventilation activates servomotors or fittings that release the openings in the wall or roof area intended for smoke extraction.

Compact central system forsmoke and heat ventilation
The SHEV is specially designed for smoke and heat ventilation applications in stairwells and provides all the necessary connections for triggering devices (manual pushbuttons, smoke detectors, thermal detectors and fire alarm systems). Designed for daily ventilation applications, appropriate components can be connected: Wind/rain detectors, ventilation pushbuttons, EIB KNX modules, timers and higher-level controls. The connection lines for SHEV buttons, on-site contacts for triggering and motors are monitored. Remote diagnosis via GPRS allows optional maintenance and fault diagnosis without costly travel.

Easy control by status LEDs
Checking the functionality is easier than ever. The SHEV compact control panel is equipped with status LEDs on the motherboard (GREEN = I. O.; YELLOW = N.I.O.; RED = SHEV alarm triggered).
A connected ventilation pushbutton with OPEN/CLOSED function can be assigned or selected with different action behaviors. The selection options are configured with the selection switch SW1 on the SHEV® board. In the event of a power failure, the emergency power supply ensures the function of the SHEV system for at least 72 hours.
