BSC Set RA 501 for BSC SHEV control panels

Set consists of: RS 501 rain sensor, Solo wall unit for WRF/RS and WR-MOD 501 wind/rain module

The RA 501 set is a modular addition to the SHEV control panels. The RS 501 rain sensor must be mounted on the main weather side in an unprotected place (connect lightning protection earth). Various mounting options can be realized with the special accessories. When rain/snow starts to fall, a signal is sent to the wind/rain module WR-MOD 501 (in the SHEV control panel "BSC").

Function rain sensor:
On the top of the rain sensor of the RS 501 there is a corrosion-resistant sensor plate, which is connected to an alternating voltage of approx. 5 V. The sensor plate is electrically connected, so that it is not possible to connect it to a power supply. The sensor plate is electrical so that the electrodes dry quickly, e.g. after a rainfall. If rainwater gets onto the sensor plate, a signal is sent to the wind/rain module and a switching operation is triggered.

Rain sensor function check:
If the sensor plate of the rain sensor is touched with a slightly moistened hand, a rain signal is sent to the switching device.
