BSC Rain detector RM 301

The rain detector system consists of the RM 301 rain detector control panel and the RS 301 rain sensor (the RS 301 must be ordered separately). The rain detector system is used for automatic closing of electrically operated windows, ventilation flaps, blinds and similar applications when rain or snow starts to fall.

If rainwater gets onto the sensor surface of the external rain sensor RS 301, the measuring signal is forwarded to the rain detector control unit RM 301. After evaluation of this measuring signal by conductance measurement, a switching operation of the output relay (rain signal) takes place. An indicator light in the front panel of the housing signals the rain message. After the sensor surface of the RS 301 has been dried by the built-in heater, the output relays of the RM 301 switch back after a delay time of approx. 3 minutes.
