The Klapparm² PA-KL²-T electric strike is an electromechanical drive for opening doors for automated supply air for natural smoke extraction. The Klapparm² PA-KL²-T electric strike can be used for the automated opening of doors of any type. It is particularly suitable for self-closing doors that serve as supply air openings for smoke and heat dissipation in an emergency. In this case, the body remains fixed in its movement to the door frame. Only the arm that pushes the door open via a roller mechanism moves. Thus, there are no restrictions on manual door opening in normal operation and as an escape route. The supply air doors are to be self-closing with an overhead door closer.

The PA-KL²-T operator can be used flexibly with regard to the installation situation and direction of rotation. It is installed on the frame as well as in the reveal, left and right are possible. It is suitable for use on inward and outward closing elements. It is mounted on the secondary closing edge. Depending on the type of installation, opening widths of up to 122° are possible and, together with the extremely short opening time of less than 60 seconds, this guarantees rapid smoke extraction and ventilation in the event of a fire. The targeted opening of doors to supply air simultaneously signals the ideal escape and rescue route. This can be combined with signal indicators and lights via a fire alarm system.

The PA-KL²-T electric strike drive unit has been tested and certified in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2. Actuators of the hinged arm² type have special kinematics and their high-performance gear (> 20,000 LW) in combination with the stainless steel lever arm is very resistant. Especially the small installation dimension makes this automatic opener ideal for projects with a high aesthetic demand - especially for large and heavy doors

Practical handling thanks to software interface

The connection is made via the SICO-PLUG connector. This includes the SICO BUS programming interface, via which parameters such as opening stroke and force can also be parameterized directly on site and further status messages can be read out.

In both end positions OPEN/CLOSED, the actuator also offers a potential-free F-contact. Working sequence controls and start-up delay are freely adjustable. Due to the freely adjustable start-up delay, the electric strike - folding arm is ideal for the automated opening of double leaf doors (forend leaf application). The PA-KL²-T electric strike drive can also be used in combination with electric strikes and electric closers / motor locks installed in the door.
